Vascular Ultrasound

A SUB-SPECIALTY OF GENERAL ULTRASOUND

Vascular ultrasound is a sub-specialty of general ultrasound that requires specially trained vascular sonographers to deliver the service. Vascular ultrasound focuses entirely on examining the circulation of blood in the arms and legs. It does this by sending out radiation free, painless sound waves into the body to create images of soft structures and tissues. These images are sent onto a Vascular Surgeon for interpretation and analysis.
